OUr Approach

As speech language pathologists, our approach goes beyond just communication skills—we focus on the vital link between language, emotion, and cognitive development. Shelby grew up surrounded by a family-run psychology clinic for children, adolescents and young adults, and was exposed to the many effects of today’s academic and home stressors. This allowed her to meet her work with a deeper social emotional understanding, and a more integrative treatment approach.

We believe that effective communication involves not only the ability to express thoughts and ideas, but also understanding and navigating emotions and social interactions. By integrating strategies that address speech, social-emotional awareness, and cognitive processing, we help individuals develop the skills needed to engage meaningfully with others and their environment. Our goal is to empower individuals to express themselves confidently, understand their social emotional world, and develop the cognitive skills necessary to thrive in all settings.
